Hi... Its been 9 or 10 months since I last uploaded anything to this site... and I think its about time I admit that DJB is DEAD. I'll leave the site here as an archive for as long as I can (for as long as I get free hosting) as the logs show that new visitors still chance across it from time to time.
As for why I'm abandoning ship: Well 2005 was a very busy year for me. After 2 previous attempts and nearly 10 years I passed my driving test in April - everyone said it, and they were right - driving really does change everything. In September I got the car I'd always wanted, a GT6. In November I married Nikki (shown in the GT6 photo), my girlfriend of about 2 years and moved into a flat with her. I LOVED doing DJB, but to really keep it running I had to be riding regularly, and at 27yrs old, with wife, cars, property and busy job I just can't make the time. I still have the Curtis SX24 and plan to keep that built up as a park-bike for.. ever. Potters Bar skatepark is still 'on the cards' and if it ever does get built I'll be there on the 24 having a play from time to time. The SuperX however will find its way onto eBay soon.
Thank you... to all the forum regulars over the years that started to make quite a little community at some points, and others like John Lord and Nath that go back to the very start of DJB in 2001. I have to name a few others that lent support also: The PB locals JoE, Ross, Jamie and lateron Kev and his lot. Those further afield like Paul Eastall, Grant and of course my good friend Emily Horridge. There are of course tons more and at one time we had about 150 active forum members which wasn't bad for a DIY / wing-it site. We also made our name into Dirt Magazine and MBUK as well as countless other Bike ralated sites - I'm pretty proud of that. If anyone wants or needs to contact me then just one address exists for DJB now - please feel free to use it. Ok, I'm off.. thanks, all the best - Hutch

The bike show is almost upon us... and we've picked up a couple of press passes from the unusually friendly people at Radiator PR; so I'll be getting snaps and info on some of the new kit that about, and John Lord will be firing at whatever he sees fit, hopefully some of the dirt/street action.
If you see anyone in a DJB t-shirt or hoody at the show then its probably either John or myself (seeing that there are only 10 hoodies and 30 t-shirts in existence). So come up and say hello and you might even want to ask for stickers, cus we'll have some on us. See you there! - Hutch
